As you may know, 76 million Baby Boomers are rapidly moving toward retirement, possible relocation to an ultimate retirement destination and a better quality of life. While Florida has traditionally attracted a large majority of relocating retirees, times are changing. Other Southern states like Tennessee are getting lots of incoming empty-nesters, boomers and retirees.

And, actually, the number of retirees moving to Florida has been gradually shrinking over the past twenty years.

Heard about the “Half-backs.” Those are the folks who initially moved to Florida from a Northern state, but and are now moving again to another state half-way back home. And, half-backs love Tennessee!

Relocating boomers, empty nesters and retirees are in the hunt for a better quality of life and its simple….Tennessee offers a wonderful option. If their checklist includes: friendly people, affordable taxes and cost of living, recreational and cultural opportunities, good medical care, a super climate and not too much snow and ice, Tennessee should score high on the list.
